On Tuesday, ACB (Afghanistan Cricket Board) appointed All-rounder Rashid Khan as the new captain of the T20 team of Afghanistan, meanwhile Najibullah Zadran was chosen as the Vice Captain for the team. The decision was taken in leadership of the ACB Chairman Farhan Yousefzai, for his experience, performance and leadership skills.
Rashid Khan’s leadership skills will be tested in the T20 World Cup later this year. Afghanistan is placed in Group B along England, India and South Africa (remaining 2 teams will be chosen in the qualifiers). The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played in October and November in UAE and Oman.
